Board & Train FAQS

  • All Board & Train pups stay in our trainer’s home in a designated Boarding Room. This room is monitored by a camera accessible to our trainer 24/7, so we always can check in, even when our trainer is out with another dog.

  • Yes! For their saftey all Board & Train pups are kept in a Ruffland or 4ft by 4ft Kennel any time they are not being supervised by our trainer. Each kennel contains a Primo Kennel Pad to keep your dog comfy and a water pail for 24/7 water access. Kennels are cleaned weekly with KennelSol, an effective germicidal disinfectant.

  • Every board and train program includes a mid-program check-in lesson, so you can see firsthand how much progress your dog is making. You’ll also receive regular updates from your trainer, including texts, calls, and social media posts, to keep you fully informed on your pup’s journey through the curriculum.

  • Of Course you will! The Last 3 days of your dogs training will include 3 Go Home Private Lessons. About two hours is designated to educating you, the owner, on the hows and whys behind your dogs training. In each of the three lessons you can expect to meet your trainer and your dog at a dog friendly cafe or brewery, a large field to play, and at a park or trail. This time is utilized as a way to ensure a smooth transition for your dog going back home.

  • With the Check-In lesson and 3 Go Home Lessons, owners take their home prepared for any scenario. If owners need an extra hand after the dog returns home, we are always one text away and will glady schedule a follow up lesson.

  • Absolutely! Your dog will learn to stay calm even when friends are around. With guidance from our model dog, Lupa, they’ll practice displaying good social manners and playing appropriately with other dogs—even in exciting situations. All dogs participating in our board and train program will have time to play and relax together.
